Job Summary: The pharmacist is responsible for overseeing the operations of the pharmacy in compliance with federal, state and local laws. This includes but is not limited to dispensing prescribed medications, drugs, and other pharmaceuticals prescribing, administering, and monitoring medications for patient care. In this position, the pharmacist answers questions and provides counseling and education for pharmacy patients on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage of pharmaceuticals. The pharmacist will work directly with pharmacy technicians, interns, and students. Works collaboratively with the pharmacy coordinator to ensure all pharmacy records, inventories, and supplies are maintained per state and federal laws and regulations. The pharmacist works collaboratively with clinical teams, registration, and leadership to support compliance for 340B reporting and claims reimbursement. This position is part of a multidisciplinary team to improve medication access and adherence to improve patient outcomes. The pharmacist must remain active and in good standing with all licensing requirements of the governing state board of pharmacy.
This position is PRN and will be utilized based on business need.
Job Requirements: Possession of a valid Pharmacist license issued by the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy, and two year of professional experience as a Pharmacist. Completion of a PGY1 Community-Based Pharmacy Residency is preferred. The candidate may not be on the government exclusion lists as determined by the Office of Inspector General (OIG) and System for Award Management (SAM). Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center or with vulnerable populations preferred.
